Child Protection Policy

Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Policy

1. Purpose

To comply with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and provide a safe environment for children engaged in any program or service of Willow Foundation.

2. Applicability

Applicable to all programs, staff, volunteers, interns, and partners who interact with children under 18 years of age.

3. Key Provisions
  • All allegations of sexual offences must be reported to the local police or Child Welfare Committee within 24 hours.
  • Staff and volunteers must attend POCSO awareness and child protection training sessions.
  • Maintain records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
4. Responsibilities

A designated POCSO Compliance Officer will ensure awareness and adherence to the Act. All stakeholders must read and sign a declaration of understanding of this policy.

5. Monitoring & Review

SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY (POSH POLICY)

Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace

1. Objective

To provide a safe and secure workplace free from sexual harassment for all employees, irrespective of gender, and to comply with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

2. Definition of Sexual Harassment

Includes unwelcome physical contact, advances, sexually coloured remarks, showing pornography, or any other unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature.

3. Applicability

This policy applies to all Willow Foundation staff, volunteers, interns, consultants, and visitors at the workplace.

4. Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
  • An ICC has been constituted with at least one external member and chaired by a senior female employee.
  • Complaints must be submitted in writing within 3 months of the incident.
  • ICC will complete inquiries within 90 days and submit its report to management.
5. Awareness & Training

All employees will undergo mandatory orientation and periodic awareness on sexual harassment laws and policy.

6. False Complaints

Malicious or false complaints will be dealt with as misconduct, subject to disciplinary action.
